The YPCS is a self-referral service offering brief (four session) consultations to young people between the ages of 16 and 30, who are experiencing personal or emotional difficulties. The course involves seeing YPCS clients for one hour each week at the Tavistock Clinic with detailed clinical discussion of these cases in small seminar groups. hour weekly seminars.Seminars are available on Tuesdays (2.15pm - 3.45pm) or Wednesdays (10.00am - 11.30am; 2.00pm - 3.30pm). One hour per week to see clients and time to write-up session notes. Monthly YPCS open meetings and weekly theory seminars may also be available.

• Learn about undertaking brief consultations within a psychoanalytic framework.
• Work with the client group presenting to the YPCS.
Is this course for you?
• Open to qualified practitioners in the mental health field with some previous experience of working within a psychoanalytic framework.
• All applicants will be required to attend an interview with a member of YPCS staff before a place on the course can be offered.
