Managing in Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Environments: A Systemic Perspective (D23S)

This course is designed for professionals taking up an operational management role in integrated services in multidisciplinary teams.

Course aims

• Develop a systemic framework and understanding of organisations within which to reflect upon, and prepare for, the processes of management within public sector organisations.

• Focus on the processes of managing teams and networks including a range of professionals in carrying out management tasks, using your own material.

• Address some of the tensions and dilemmas inherent in working in partnership across agencies.

• Facilitate your application of the knowledge and skills from the course to your daily work through the use of project work and consultation.

Is this course for you?

• Up to 20 places are available for professionals working in multidisciplinary teams in Health or Local Authorities.

• Relevant for those working in newly developed Children’s Services.

• Participants should have recently taken up, or be considering, management posts.
