Q. Does the Tavistock provide any form of bursary or funding for students if they enrol on a course?

A. There is a small fund available to students who are having difficulties paying their fees once they are on the course. Applications can be made to the fund in January and June and are only open to students currently studying and whose financial situation has changed since they began the course which could prevent them from continuing. This option should not be relied on by students as the fund is limited and provided to those in exceptional circumstances.

A. There are various options available depending on which course you choose to study.

  1. Career Development Loans

A. Those age 18+ enrolled on a full time course of 15 tuition led hours per week or more based on a minimum 14 weeks can apply for the Student 18+ Oyster card. Most of our courses are part-time and therefore do no meet the full time course criteria. Q.  I don’t want to commit myself to a whole year of study at this stage. Do you offer courses of shorter length?
A. Yes. We have a growing selection of short courses and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses of varying lengths, some 3 hours long some 10 weeks long. We are always developing new short courses that directly relate to your working experience. Go to the CPD or the short course section under the Training pages to find a course suited to you.
