Portman Clinic Seminar Series

October - December 2008
Fee: £37 per lecture (£190 for all 6 lectures)
Venue: Portman Clinic

The Portman Clinic is offering a CPD opportunity for those working in the forensic and personality disorder services and criminal justice system and for practitioners who are interested in learning more about forensic issues or who are working with very difficult and challenging patients.

A member of the Clinic staff will give a talk about one of the many areas in which the clinic has expertise. Topics covered over the year include risk assessment, fetishism, sibling incest, gender dysphoria/transexualism, suicide, consultation to institutions and violence and clinical considerations about working with violent and perverse patients. All presentations will be followed by a discussion in which participants will be invited to bring examples from their clinical experience in order to think further about ways of working with these difficult patients.

The seminars are offered fortnightly on a Friday afternoon, 3.00 - 4.30pm.
