The International Journal of Infant Observation and its Applications
Editor: Lisa Miller
ISSN Print 1369-8036 ISSN Online 1745-8943
Psychoanalytic Infant Observation, begun at The Tavistock Clinic in 1948, has become in the past two decades a standard feature of pre-clinical training in child and adult psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and related fields throughout the world.
This journal is publishing some of the varied and original writing which is now emerging from Infant Observation. It publishes the case studies on infant , and young child observation, research papers, and wider applications of the psychoanalytic observational method including its relevance to reflective professional practice in fields such as social work, teaching and nursing.
The Journal is essential reading for teachers and students of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and observational studies, and for those interested in the development of the Infant observation method. It is available by subscription only and is published three times per year by Taylor and Francis.
