Camden Community CAMHS

The Camden Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health service comprises two Multidisciplinary Teams; one in the north of Camden and one in the south. These teams provide clinic based and community based services e.g. in schools health and voluntary agency settings within their locality.

The Camden Community CAMH Service will provide:

  • Equitable provision in the North and South of the borough
  • A comprehensive service to 0-18 year olds and their families by Multi-disciplinary Teams
  • Culturally appropirate services
  • An integrated Tier 2/3 service embedded into service specification
  • Integrated, Joint partnership working with other stautory and voluntary services
  • An outreach model of service delivered alongside clinic based provision
  • Increased accessibility to Multi-disciplinary Teams
  • Clinical interventions for complex cases allocated through Joint Intake as well as informal referrals and contact from schools and GP's
  • A skilled workforce, contributing to the deveolpment of local skill base and expertise in specific areas e.g. Looked After Children, Under fives and Adolescents.

 

The proposed service specification was sent out for consultation with all key stakeholders for a period of 30 days between 29th October to 30th November 2007.
