The Tavistock Clinic Foundation (TCF) was founded in 1982 to raise funds for the prevention, relief, treatment and cure of mental illness. It does this by developing and funding projects that:
The Clinic's work touches on everyone who has any involvement with mental health services - either as a user or a professional - in both the UK and many countries throughout the world. Its training and research work is internationally recognized. Whilst the Clinic's immediate client base is located in the Camden & Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey areas of north London, it provides services (clinical outreach, consultancy and educational) well beyond these boundaries.
The Clinic's influential role in mental health stretches back 80 years. TCF's role is to promote and support this continuing role, reflecting the Clinic's strategic priorities.
The projects for which the Foundation is currently seeking support reflect this desire to promote change and improvement, each of which represents a key element in the development of training or service provision nationally. Among our priorities are:
We are extremely grateful for the support we have already received from companies, grant-making trusts and individual donors. However, these important initiatives cannot move forward without your help. If you would like to support one of these, or would just like more information about TCF's work, please contact the Foundation office at foundation@tavi-port.org or call 020 7435 7111.
You can decide exactly how you would like TCF to spend your money - on a specific area or piece of work, on its core activities, or even setting up a fund of your own, perhaps in memory of someone.
TCF will ensure that you receive regular reports on the work that you support.
